I lost my silver olympus digital camera. I have no idea how to even start trying to find it. I think I may have dropped it outside of where I work in Little Ferry, NJ. Does anyone have any ideas how I can try to find it? I don't know if I should post adds about it or what. I'm so depressed, all of my pictures had so much sentimental value. I was rushing so much that day, I don't even know if I brought it with me to work or if I left it somewhere at my house. I'm so stressed and sad. I don't know what to do. Please give me some advice or something.

You can try posting an ad in the local paper asking for the return of the camera, or at the very least, your memory card, which holds a lot of pictures with sentimental value. Offer an enticing reward. The chances are small of having somebody return it because they read the ad, but theres a good chance that somebody they know actually reads the want ads and that person might tell the person who has the camera "could this person be asking about the camera you found?"

I beleive your only option is to place an ad in a well read publication. But, don't place a big reward just for the camera. Rather, place a large reward for the camera along with the photos in the memory. This way you know it is your camera and not one that someone stole just to collect the reward. It is pointless to pay money only to get stolen property, which you could then lose in the future when it is turned in for service.

If you have some identifying marks on your camera, then you can offer a reward for the camera but make it less than if it was returned with your pictures intact. And, do specify that you will need to verify the identiy of the camera to collect the reward. You should have the serial number noted on the warranty card, you can use that for an ID.

Otherwise, you are out of luck. Try your homeowners insurance, they may cover a part of the loss.

USB cords are conventional, get a alternative at Radio Shack or Staples workplace supply. they arrive in 2 types, mini and micro. extra present day cameras tend to apply the micro, basically take digital camera to shop to confirm it fits.
