Anyone know a camera with Carl Zeiss optics (is that the right word? the lense thing :S) but looks cool?

Lightweight but good for clear photos and with a fast shutter time. Any ideas? Clear pictures are also a MUST. Just the best camera around, i have been saving up for ages and will save up more just to geta decent one for my a level art. HELP!

Well I think that a Sony A900 looks cool especially with the Zeiss ZA 24-70mm f2.8 lens. It is probably one of the most formidable cameras out there...but not really lightweight.



Otherwise if you wans Zeiss glass you will need a Sony cybershot, that isn't in the S-series. Be aware that these lenses are made by Sony to Zeiss specs, and won't be like the Zeiss SLR lenses which are usually made by Contax.

Zeiss whored their name to Sony--so most Sony cameras (point & shoot)--their lenses are made in Japan by Sony, "licensed" by Carl Zeiss of Germany. They do the same with Cosina, too.



Get the old hasselblad camera. It uses real Zeiss optic.

Sony uses Zeiss lenses in many of their cameras. It will be clearly marked as a Zeiss lens.
