So I have a Canon powershot sx50 hs and a kingston card in it. If I take a picture and delete it, it apparently goes to some trash can and I don't know how to empty it, and the pics in the trash fill up the card so that even though on the camera I can't see any pictures, it says there's no more room. My dad somehow emptied it once, but I don't know how and he's asleep right now and I really need to know how to do this asap. Help would be so appreciated. Cheers

Go wake dad up and make him teach you so you don't keep bugging him.

There are two ways. My preferred method is to take the SD card out of the camera and plug it into the computer. After I've copied all the pictures to the hard drive, I think mass delete the SD card contents. In Windows, I use the file explorer, highlight either the directory or all the files in the directory, and then hit the delete button.

The other method is through the camera. There are three ways. One is to delete a single picture at a time. Another is to find the menu item that allows for you to delete all pictures. And, the third is to find the menu item that allows you to reformat the SD card.

Format.

It's an option buried deep into the menu system of your camera.

Look up format in your manual.
