Actual GoPro cameras, other than the Session, are not cheap. Even the last generation Hero3+ models are still several hundred dollars.

There are tons of POV / action cameras on the market. Look at Woot.com as they usually have a couple different models on sale. Amazon has numerous cheap models. Just remember that you get what you pay for.

As for mounting... that all depends on exactly what you expect the camera to do for you. They have kits with multiple mounts on Amazon for the GoPro, along with other accessories, ranging from $20-$50. Many include a head strap and or chest strap. Make sure the kit you get supports the mount that your camera uses, as GoPro (and many others) use a specific mount. Others use normal camera mounts.

I'm not sure what you mean by your "friend moving around" but a GoPro is best for POV action sports. It is not so good as a general purpose camcorder. It has a fixed-focus, non-zoom wide-angle lens, has poor audio, no internal stabilization, and most models don't have an LCD screen.

If you think the GoPro fits your needs look at the Hero 4 Silver, the most popular model. For less money, look at the Hero+LCD, both of which have LCD screens and WiFi.

Go for the SJ4000 action camera or the Xiaomi Yi action camera. They're pretty cheap and get things done and they're clear and sharp.
