My Samsung MV800 digital camera says the memory is full. My dad just gave it to me a week ago. It has no pictures on it. I can take one picture and then when i try to take another, a pop-up comes up that says -memory full- I can delete the picture i took and take another but it won't let me store more than one at once... How do i fix this problem?

Okay 9.60 MB is basically ONE picture. SO with ONE picture the memory will be FILLED.

Go to a Store (Radio Shack, Best Buy)

Buy an SD Memory Card.

Then you will be able to take LOTS of pictures.

As many have mentioned you probably don't have much memory on the camera to store pictures. There should be a memory card slot to hold more. Another option, though, is that if you aren't interested in the pictures being top quality there is probably a Resolution setting within the camera to take lower quality pics which generally increases your storage because the pics will take up less memory. It's generally fine if you are only looking to take pics to post on the web or share with friends. Photos you expect to want to keep should always be taken at the best quality possible.

Sounds like you are using internal memory. Many cameras with internal memory can only handle a few photos. 9Mb is not much for storage as these days with the high megapixel sensors, one photo can exceed that.

Your camera should have provision for a memory card. Consult your manual (or download one from Samsung if you don't have one) and find out what kind of memory card the camera accepts. Your camera can probably use at least SDHC cards (up to 32Gb).

Then buy a memory card - your problems will be solved.

The reason that it is doing this is because you don"t have a "memory card" in it. It won't let you take any more pictures because there isn't enough memory on the camera. You can buy memory cards at any drugstore, some are more expensive than others. Oh and here's a tip, on a memory card there will be a little number circled (don't get this confused with the gigabyte number) and the higher the number, the better quality your pictures will be stored at. So if you want good quality pictures, look for a memory card with a "10"

Unfortunately most camera manufacturers do not include SDHC cards with their cameras and a lot of people don't realise this. 9.59MB is the camera's onboard memory. That is just enough to store one picture. That is all you get included with the camera! You will need to buy an SDHC card for it, preferably a fast class 10.

Go for a Sandisk 16GB Extreme or Ultra card from Amazon - something like this:

http://www.amazon.co.uk/SanDisk-16GB-45MB-Extreme-SDHC/dp/B00422J0CG/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1373357512&sr=8-1&keywords=sandisk+sdhc+16gb+extreme

The class 10 cards are fastest. You need class 6 or 10 for video. It may as well be the faster class 10 as there isn't much between class 6 and 10 in cost.

That card is about 16,000MB, so it should hold over 1000 pictures or quite a lot of video. Don't bother with a 4GB or 8GB card - those are nearly as expensive and the 16GB one will leave you with plenty of space for video as well as pictures. You will need to format it in the camera before using it.

Do NOT buy SDHC cards from the high street - they will be far more expensive there. I strongly recommend sticking to good brands like Sandisk. Cheap cards are not always reliable.

Don't connect the camera directly to the PC. Get a cheap USB card reader like this:

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Genuine-Integral-Card-Reader-SDHC/dp/B007JCP89K/ref=sr_1_2?s=computers&ie=UTF8&qid=1373357688&sr=1-2&keywords=sdhc+card+reader+usb

That is far more convenient for transferring your pictures.

Probably because you didn't format the card in the camera. Did you read the manual? There's a section there about formatting a card before you shoot with it.

You probably have to buy a memory card you can buy an sd card on Ebay for like $8 and an adapter for like $0.30
