Okay, I own a Cannon Power Shot, less than a year old. It suddenly stops working and won't let me take pictures becus the memory card is locked. I took it out and locked it and unlocked it. Still. I opened the battery socket and cleaned it. Still. I blew in it to see if there was dirt or something making it. It worked, but the inside of the lens were fogged up and i could take as many pictures until i turned it off. I tried other memory cards and it says the same thing. I put my current memory card in another camera, but it works fine. HELP!!

Try and use the reformat card option on the camera. Makes sure you remove any pictures on the card first. It sounds like the sensor that senses the lock mechanism is not functioning. Might have to take it in.

I won't even ask why you may issue your memory card to a magnetic field. If the digital camera won't format the cardboard, then you definately've certainly "fried" it. on the value of memory enjoying cards now, you are going to be waiting to arise with the money for an incredible new vast one to swap the previous. is this the only card that has an blunders? If yet another card works interior the digital camera, then a minimum of that's very properly.

If the card won't format try replacing the card. If that doesn't work I'd say there's dirt in the card compartment and that will take a pro to clean. It'll cost you but if it's worth the price... hey good luck.
