I see people taking amazing close-up pictures like this

How do you do that? I have a kodak digital camera.

If you have a point and shoot camera, it may have a macro setting to choose from.

You need a tripod, and get up really close.

If you use a DSLR, then a dedicated macro lens with a ring flash would be the way to go.

practice with small stationary items like coins, watches, etc.

I don't think you can do that with a point & shoot camera without getting the blurr. You need an DSLR for close ups & very tiny close ups (such as insects & jewelry details) need a special macro lens.

What model Kodak is it? We can better help you with that info.



I use the optical macro feature on my Canon. I can get within an inch of the object with high clarity.

Tha macro mode in point and shoot cameras works well but in my opinion you have to practice a lot with it, cause sometimes they get blurry trying to find the correct focus, but with a lot of practice you can get nice shots.
