Is their a software that can fix a heavy blue tint from pictures? I tried using Photoshop using steps I found online, and removed the blue tint, but the pic became very dim. I took these pics outside on a bright sunny day, but I guess I didn't change the settings and all the pictures have a heavy blue tint.
Please, any help would be great!

If using a modern version of Photoshop (in the CS series or modern version of Elements), you can open up your image in Adobe Camera Raw (File>Open As>Camera raw). Yes, you can open jpeg formats in ACR. There is a white balance picker tool which will allow you to select a neutral color in your photo (white or gray) and properly color balance your image. You can also use the color temperature and tint in ACR.

If you have an older version of Photoshop (version 7 or older), you can use Power Retouche Pro.

It's a plug-in for Photoshop (32-bit version only) and works well. Better yet, it's free!

This plugin will also work for XNview.

A blue tint in outdoor pictures could mean that the camera's white balance is set in a preset like possibly tungsten, fluorescent, or custom--something optimized for light that is much more yellow or red than outdoor light. Often this can work better than auto, but only if it is in the right preset for the light source (or taken with the right kind of light source for the preset selected). Put the white balance into auto.

I'm assuming that tt was 35mm and were those blue images taken in the shade? Light is bluer in the shade if you do not have an 81 a or b filter.
