PK-Tether is a piece of crap. I've tried it on 3 different Windows systems, all with progressively increasing amounts of RAM (4Gig - 32Gig). 2 pictures, crashes constantly, controls do not work on K-x cameras, and the interface is garbage.

LightRoom has NO support for Pentax cameras.

Capture One, from Phase I has NO support for Pentax cameras, despite what the install log reports.

Basically, I'm sorry to report, but those of us that use Pentax cameras are SOL when it comes to tethering software. I wish I could report happier news, but if you don't own a Canon or Nikon, you're pretty much screwed in the tethering department.

That said, LightRoom is fantastic for post production off the media cards.

Have you tried talking to the Pentax tech's? I recently got a Kx and would be interested in this feature.

Have you installed the Pentax furnished software? If you have check the help menu for tethering.

If you don't find it, it's probably not possible with this camera.

I beg to differ with David on one thing. I tether my Canon cameras to my lap top on every portrait shoot and it does help me quite a bit because you can see the photo instantly on a large screen and show it to your client right now.

Also it allows you to check your framing, lighting, exposure - all that immediately - very handy indeed.

Hello,

I recently found a web site providing a tethering software for all recent Pentax dslr (including k-x). Please have a look at: http://www.pktether.com/

I did not try it so can't say anything about it.

Hope this helps...
