I have a kodak easyshare V570, and I got a SanDisk Ultra 16gb memory card for it, but when i put it inthe camera it says:memory card requires formatting

so i press CONTINUE

camera:Formatting will delete everything on memory card (i have already deleted everything on the camera for this)

i press continue

it says
Formatting....

and then it goes back to the same thing saying that the memory card needs formatting and no matter how many times i go through it, it just keeps going back to telling me it needs formatted, can anyone help me please?

I didn't realize there were any of those things still alive. On page 56 of the manual it lists the maximum storage as 512MB SD/MMC card so you can be certain it won't recognize a 16 GB SDHC card.

Your camera most probably uses only SD cards, not SDHC. Older cameras do not recognized SDHC.

4GB SD should be safe enough. If you are sure your camera takes SDHC, try another brand. They're supposed to be the same but I've encountered newer cameras rejecting some cards that work with others.

It is probably an older camera that can't handle such big cards. Have you tried it with a smaller card?
