Canon 500d/T1i or Nikon D5000?

Please. omg!help me out decide please. my older sister. is waiting for my go signal on which camera to buy..plus i think she doesnt know taht much about cameras (DSLR`s).im half way around the world.and she is based in Los angeles. ive been saving/deciding/researching..for months now 6months. but havent really decided yet because theyre both good!! what i like about canon 500d is mp(pixels) plus movie mode which can be 1080p. on the other hand i like nikon..for just photography passion. no silly movie dedicated function. just for serious photography..so Which one to decide?im having troubles really deciding..

Most of cameras review say that in general Nikon D5000 is better

You won't be able to find one that record video for $500. However, if you expand your budget to about $600, then you have a few different options like the Canon Rebel T3, Nikon D3100, and Pentax K-r. If your budget is already set in stone though, you may be better off with a camcorder especially if video is your main priority.

Both cameras are good . but Before deciding the Camera model U should rethink the purpose and use of DSLRS And the cost involved in buying good lenses for that later on . Actually you your self or the user of the camera should see the sample images for both models. there are lots of sample image sof both cameras on net.

I am photographer since 1999 so in my exprieance you should go for Canon 500 D It is good camera for amatures , plus it is not put holes on your pocket
