Question:
How to get back to a "normal" exposure meter on canon?

I would love to try to use manual mode but ever since I got my camera (canon t2i) the exposure meter is messed up. I forgot what it's called but it's where it will take three pictures at different exposures. It's only like this on manual mode and it's driving me crazy. Can someone please help me fix this

You're referring to Exposure Bracketing; it's very easy to return the mode setting to Manual Mode. But, wait a minute, WHY haven't you tried to look it up in your camera's Instructions Manual? I bet you didn't even try to read your camera's Instructions Manual... huh?

IF you don't have it (for whatever reason), then look it up on the Internet and copy it so you can then PRINT a hard copy version to read at your leisure. You'd be amazed at all the things you can learn by simply reading your camera's Instructions Manual... so you can make maximum use of your camera for far better image results... you'll learn about the features, functions and options, when and how to use them, how to avoid problems and how to solve difficult lighting situations... well, it's up to you.

The answer to your question is in your camera's Instructions Manual.

Learn about Exposure Bracketing!!!! Very powerful!!!!

⦁ It takes (usually) 3 shots, one under, one normal, and one overexposed.

⦁ Valuable in difficult lighting.

⦁ PLUS: You can use the 3 photos to make 1 HDR photo!

It's called EXPOSURE BRACKETING. Look in your camera owner's manual and it will tell you how to disable the exposure bracketing.

An alternative is to reset the camera to all factory defaults, (again, look in the owner's manual).
