Question:
Do you seeing dark shadow from viewfinder in Nikon D90 when you press shutter halfway down?

When I use the camera in a low light situation, I press the shutter half-way down and looking through the viewfinder, I see like 2 shadows. One big shadow on the left side, and smaller shadow on the right hand side.
During the day or in a well lit place, when you press the shutter half way and you look through the view finder, you can barely see the shadow, but it is there. It is definitely visible pointing at a lowlight area.
Looks like it is caused by the light of the small round-flash found on top of the Fn button, the light from it hitting the lens on its side, and casting the shadow. I never had that happen to me before either.
I am wondering if maybe there is something wrong with the lens or the light itself. Anyone had the same problem or any suggestions? Thanks

That light is known as the "focus assist light". It activates in low light to help your camera be able to find a subject to focus on, otherwise your camera would be left clueless on where to focus. If you find it annoying or intrusive, there is an option in the menu to turn it off.

The light should not activate in bright, sunny light conditions.

If it's coming from the focus beam there's nothing wrong with your camera. The shadow is most likely from the lens blocking the light to the left and perhaps your hand to the right.

the unique dark Shadows on television replaced into very severe. Johnny Depp's movie is fairly humorous, does no longer shop on with the television version in any respect. If Jonathan Frid knew of Johnny Depp's movie, i'm valuable he replaced into sadden at it made right into a comedy. there have been different dark Shadows made into the two video clips or television sequence. you will discover them at Netflix. type in dark Shadows and you gets a catalogue of two or 3.

Hmm, I checked mine and didn't see a shadow in there. I guess there will be an early spring, right?
