Hi all,

I'm looking to get a digital camera, since my old one packed in last year. Price-wise, I can't really put more than US $200, so was thinking to get the Sony Cybershot DSC S650.

It's got 7.2 megapixels, 3x optical zoom, 1,000 ISO. I do take lots of photos, for work/research as well as fun, so also need something that's not bulky.

Anyone has this one and can give me advice? I'm mainly familiar with Sony cameras, and the old one was very user friendly, so I thought I may as well go for the same type.

Thanks.

Have a look at the reviews of the DSC 650 below.

Some of the main negatives...very slow flash recharge times, poor quality movie mode, unsharp images, high noise at ISO 400 and lower, LCD, etc.

good luck...

the first evaluation below provides it a 6/10 for both image and picture high quality. And the 2d evaluation is way a similar. Sorry, yet it really isn't any longer strong sufficient to get me to purchase it... that is the inexpensive digicam. What might want to you anticipate? some evaluation expenses... "An uninspiring compact digicam, Sony's Cyber-shot DSC-S650 has distinctive subject matters concerning image high quality and wide-spread operation that mean there are more suitable ideal purchases elsewhere" "i comprehend the Sony DSC S650 isn't the most expensive digital digicam, yet i become nonetheless disillusioned by technique of its performance. Shutter lag with the flash, the performance of the liquid crystal exhibit in wonderful sunshine and the shortcoming of sharpness it the exterior photos are all significant drawbacks."
