I have a Canon t3i/600D and after about 3 seconds of recording in 1080p(5s in 720p and 12s in 480p) it stops with this message:

"Movie recording has been stopped automatically"

I have a Sandisk Extreme Pro SDHC UHS-1 card with 8GB capacity, Class 10. I did a format in the camera and the problem still persists, I have shot in cool rooms with the A/C on just to check if temperature was the issue, no dice. It is very frustrating seeing as with every other case everyone seems to recommend using this very card as the solution so what do i make of this? It worked fine a few days from purchase but it's only recently that this has been occurring.

Could it be a defective card? camera? or is there a solution to this.

It does sound like a defective card.

Did you buy it from a reputable company? There are a lot of counterfeit SanDisk cards being sold online.

If you are sure it is genuine then SanDisk will replace it under warranty - you should have got the details with the card. You did keep your purchase receipt didn't you :-)

Behrad is precisely authentic. For a T4i, in video mode: a million. Hit "Menu." 2. Scroll over to the 2d movie icon 3. click "Video image" 4. click "Disable" It labored! have exciting and God bless. Jim in Abilene, TX

sounds to me like a defective card

There should be a one year manufacturer's warranty on the card, call them and see if you can get fixed/replaced.
