What's the best HD camcorder for under $200?

I had a JVC GR-D750 up until it broke. I need a new camera, but this time, it's gonna be HD. I'm not made of money so I need one for under 200 bucks. I had been looking at the Creative Vado HD because I love its sound and quality, but it lacks any real zoom function. I need this zoom because I'm a student pilot and I film my high school's football games from the air, and the lowest allowable altitude allowed is 500ft above ground level. So I need a cheap HD camera with pretty good quality, and good zoom. Anybody know of any?
