Why when I am trying to pring a black and white photo, the photo prints green?

I am printing from a HP Deskjet F2120 ALL-IN-ONE and the pictures are from my computer.

One of the reasons is calibration.



The computer (and your software) may think that a color is defined one way, and your printer thinks its defined another. You'd be surprised just how much monitors, computers, and printers can vary.



There are hardware solutions to calibrate printers and monitors, but they're more expensive than the average user can afford.



The simplest fix may be software. Have you tried going into your printer settings and choosing the "Print in Grayscale" option?

As JBT Said, Try Printing In Gray Scale Or Make A Copy Of The Image In Your Photo Program And Convert It To Black And White. The Printer You Mentioned Uses A Tri-Color Cartridge And A Black One. But Is Trying To Make The Gray Portions Of the Print By Mixing Colors Resulting In A Green Cast Because Yellow Is the Lightest Color So It Uses That To Dilute The Other Colors. You COULD Try Putting Your Image On A Disc (In Grayscale) And Having A Photo Store Print It.
