If you want a camera that can beat all the 5MP super zooms (including the FZ20), you'll be happy, but if you actually need the additional pixels to produce larger prints you may well be disappointed - it simply isn't that much better."

yes it is true,If you don't plan to print poster size, 3-5 Mp is all that you need, specialy if you don't plan to do any cropping or noise reduction in post processing. Less Mps will give you pictures with less noise and more dynamic range.
