Most lens for Canon can be recycled for Canon digital body. They need to be AF lens.

Even, it's supposed there are advantages using those lens instead the new ones made for digital bodies: as the best part of the len in the center of the len, with an "old" len (28-80) you are using only the central part of the len (because the sensor is 1.6 times smaller than 35 mm film), while using a len made for digital bodies (18-55 which is the equivalent to the 28-80), you are using the whole len, including the outer part of it (of less quality).

If you are thinking about buying the 300D, you must consider buy the new 350D. It has improved performance from 300D, making that camera right now the best one in its segment.

More than likley, yes, if they are not too old. Some of the mounts have "matured" over time, and are compatable for all bodies. The best thing to do is to bring them into a professional camera store, and check.
