For a couple of weeks I've been thinking about getting a Canon EOS Rebel T2i. But I recently checked the Canon website and noticed there was a new product called the Canon EOS Rebel T3i. Do you know which camera is better? If so, do you own any of these two cameras? If you do, do you have any samples of some pictures you had taken? I really don't want to buy the Canon EOS Rebel T3i, if the T2i is a lot better. Thank you very much, help me I can't make up my mind.

The only real difference is the rotating screen on the t3i. Seems like you could have just looked at the specifications on the Canon website to figure that out yourself.

As Hondo said. There is little that makes the T3i better than the T2i.

While the wireless flash thing is nice, it will require that you buy the very expensive Canon flashes. I used to be a big advocate of Nikon's counterpart (called CLS), but not anymore.

If one is serious enough about photography to use off-camera flash, then one will very likely be fine with using manual flashes as well. These cost but a fraction of a big brand flash and work in manual mode just as well. One can get THREE Yongnuo flashes for the price of one Canon or Nikon flash, and trigger them either with a separate radio trigger or in optical slave mode (depending on the actual flash) with the camera's popup flash on minimum power.

Additionally, one has more control using manual mode than rather unpredictable TTL.

But then again, you might not even be interested in off-camera flashes...but the point i'm trying to drive home is that the wireless flash support of the T3i isn't a big issue. Get the excellent T2i, if you're comfortable with Canon controls. Being fine with the control layout is the most important thing, all entry level DSLRs of all brands are fine. Also give the Nikon D3100 a thought, or the Pentax Kx or Kr.

The big thing about the t3i is the articulating screen, which is very similar to the screen that the Canon 60D was just released with. Other then that there is no really big difference. Both shoot in 1080 HD video, and same size sensor.

However the t3i has wireless multi flash support built in as well which is helpful if you want to set off off camera flashes, and also, you have manual control of the audio levels which is a great thing if you are going to be using an external microphone with it.

Be careful not to get the T3 if you want to do 1080 Video, because the t3 only does 720.

Price wise, the T1i is a steal secondhand right now on craigslist, and you can even get some pretty great deals on the T2i on craigslist if you dont need manual audio controls, and wireless flash triggers.

Go With The T2i!!!
