There are so many different cameras, it really depends on your needs, lifestyle, and budget. Personally, I would only buy a Nikon or a Canon because I think they take the best pictures. However, they may not be the smallest or sleekest looking.
Steve's digicam is great for reviews. So is: www.dpreview.com. I would check CNET too, for editor's choice cameras in the category you are looking in.
