Question

where is a good forum to get answers about .mov to .avi video conversion? I have a Canon camera that shoots hd video in .mov format and Windows Movie Maker cannot utilize this format. So I need to convert the videos using a converter. But the converter has many options in formatting and I am not setting the converter to the right combination settings in order for it to convert right. For example, I get audio but no video on the converted file.
