i think the old Sony disk was @640x800 pixels. does eBay still take photos from the floppy disk format?

eBay will take pretty much any kind of photo, because it doesn't matter HOW you took the pictures, all that matters is that you have a digital photo file (usually with the file extension .JPG or .JPEG). All you need to do is copy the photos from your floppy disk onto your computer, and then upload them to eBay.
Put your floppy disk in the disk drive of your computer, open My Computer, then A: (or whatever drive letter you have assigned to the floppy disk drive). Click on the folder/photos you want, then Cut or Copy the photos over to a folder on your computer. Then, go to eBay, and when it asks you for any photos, go to the location on your computer where you copied the photos, and you should be able to upload them.
The only way that this would change to more "modern" digital cameras today is that instead of copying pictures from a floppy disk they're copied from a memory card such as CompactFlash or Secure Digital cards.

Yes. Just save the photos to your hard drive to make it easier. "Super size" on eBay is only 800x800 pixels anyway.
