Will the 'Sigma 105mm F2.8 EX Macro Lens' fit a 'Canon EOS Rebel XSi Camera'?

I'm looking into getting my first macro lens. Will it fit my camera? Has anyone used this lens?

Why not consider the Canon 100mm L macro

Ebay is a good place --- I am selling a Tamron AD70-300mm which is a macro lens too and I have used on the 450D I am also selling! ..... however this isnt an advert for me! Have you considered a "Close-up" lens I bought a set of these for my Olympus. Again you can find these on ebay and they cost a fraction of a macro lens - a good way to start. I paid around £15.00. This can screw directly onto the front of your 18-55 lens. If you look at the front of you lens it will tell you the filter diameter you need. I think the standard 18-55 you should have is 58mm. You need to know this when looking out for your close-up lens. Anyway - hope this helps.

There are quite a few different versions of lenses for companies like Sigma and Tamron. They make each version compatible with a certain system like Canon, Nikon, Sony, etc. So, make sure the one you buy is for Canon, which has an EF mount.

Sigma make that lens with different mounts to fit different cameras. Be sure to specifiy "Canon EF mount" when you buy it.

It is a great lens that will give you great results on your XSi

I'm with Kevin. As long as you specify Canon EF, it'll work perfectly.
