Indeed it might be silly to try to download your photos into your mobile phone.

If you shot in RAW file mode, might be the problem. Use JPG next time.

RAW needs to be converted to JPG on a computer with Lightroom or Photoshop.

you are in trouble. put it back into the camera and reformat the card and never do that again. next time transfer photos using the usb cable or the wifi of the camera. a Droid is NOT a pc and does not support the same Filing Systems and AUTO formats any sdcard you insert into it.

An SD card that would fit a phone wouldn't be the right one for the camera. DSLRs use full-sized SD cards. Technically, you could use micro-SD but the adapters are freakishly prone to cause file corruption, something you're experiencing right now. Try using Recuva to see if you can recover some pictures from the card. I won't be surprised if you don't find any though. Prevention? Buy a full-sized SD card already for the camera.

I'll 2nd what Iridflare stated about shooting in RAW. Phones, or at least just about all of them, don't shoot RAW but JPEG only. In addition, phones generally cannot read, and therefore display, RAW files either.

The file system used by your camera isn't the same as that used by or understood by your computer and vis versa. Your phone will not be able to properly read data from an SD card that was formatted using the file system that the camera installed during the format process. This is why your phone cannot "see" the files on the SD card that you used in your camera.

Try copying the files onto your computer and then copy from your computer to your phone. You can also email the photos to yourself, open that email with your phone and then download them that way.

Why you cannot see the files when inserting the SD card in your computer? This may be a problem with the card or the way it was formatted or maybe it has become corrupt when you inserted it into your phone. Maybe the phone did something to the file system on the SD card without you knowing?

In any event, try using a file recovering app such as Recova. Download and install the app onto your computer, not your phone, and see if that allows you to gain access to the files.

I may as well be the first - it's Canon, not Cannon! To be clear, you can find the files on your phone / tablet and on your computer, but you can't display them? What format are they in? If the file extension isn't .jpg you've shot in RAW and your computer won't be able to display them without loading a suitable codec. Android devices probably can't display them at all.

Interesting! You've taken a JPEG image, your phone and PC can both see the files (so no problem with the file system) but you can't display an image. Does the camera show the images, and what happens when you try displaying them on your phone & PC?
