which is the best largest sensor fixed lens camera ( compact)
budget not an issue,
dslr too bulky hence want the next best option, not fussy abt RAW, interchangable lens

Canon had either the sx1 or sx10 with a large cmos sensor. Fuji's nx100 is another example.

You're going to spend just as much buying one of these "gimmick" devices as you will buying an slr.

What's this, too "bulky". What are you planning on doing putting it in your pocket? Well that's up to you but you're going to find the highest quality result is always with an slr, not even a fancy, over priced, gimmick, interchangeable lens camera - that's actually nothing more than a point and shoot

As far as I now, all compact cameras have small sensors.
