Do you know how to use your computers file manager / explore function? If not right click on the

icon for the control panel. You'll see a menu. Click on "explore". A complete list of your computers files will show.

If your card is loaded in the reader you'll see one named nikon. Click it and go to the file contained there... they your photos will be visible. Copy and paste all to what ever file suits and wala... you're done.

Open up your iPhoto or whatever program, and then plug your camera into the computer, and a pop-up should appear, and then click on the upper left stuff and drop down menu should be there where you can choose to Add To Library or something like that or tell the computer you want to save the files.

This shouldn't be difficult. To make sure everything is reset, reboot the computer. Then, make sure the card is fully seated in the card reader, then insert fully into the USB port. The computer should take it from there, prompting you for info on where you want to put the pix.

Don't use iPhoto or whatever program comes up. Close it down and use Finder (Mac) or Windows Explorer instead for total control. If you still can't see what you need to find, it's probably lost already due to a broken memory card. Throw away the card and buy a new one.
