Having a hard time deciding here.
Already have an iPad 2 and a GE 12 mp camera.
Which is which? Please help me.
A junior high school student, loves taking pictures and social networking sites. That's why I want an iPhone. Sometimes we're having a very special occassion, visit the other countries, and my most favorite part in every school year, intramurals (sports fest). That's the time I'm wishing to have a sony nex f3.

What do you really want? Figure that out, and your answer is there. Virtually all the cellphone cameras out there are garbage compared to a the large image sensor cameras like the NEX type.

If you are serious about photography, get the NEX F3. And to Jim, the photographer that hates Sony, the NEX cameras, an all the "EVIL" cameras, well just ignore him, he's old and angry. Why I have no idea.

So here's a fact that Jim can't stand. The Sony NEX F3 image sensor will crush every current Canon dSLR from the bottom end Rebel, to the current top of the line APS C body, the Canon 7D. Not opinion, but fact. Put money on it.

That sounds like a real camera to me. So, if you only plan on shooting in strong light, you might get some decent shots with the new iPhone. All 4, 4s and most likely the 5 use Sony BSI image sensors, but again image quality is hampered by the fact that the image sensor is so very tiny, resulting in very small pixels. If you want images in low light that are clean, and have real detail, and not all that noise and grain, get the NEX F3. I've downloaded RAW files for that camera, and it beats my 2007 Sony A700 dSLR hands down in low light. by the way, the new Nokia Lumia 920 has a better camera than the iPhone 4 and 5.

Technology marches on, that's the way it goes.

F3 is the way to go. Sensor is probably the best APS-C available today (it is used in various Nikon, Pentax and Sony cameras), lot of manual options if you want to use them (you don't need to), a possibility to change lenses is something you will definitely want if you get serious with photography.

Iphone has bad camera compared to APS-C EVILs, and tries to hide it with various programs like hipstamatic or what evere they are called.

As for Jim A comment, T3 has worse sensor than NEX F3, more noise and not as good color reproduction. I don't know how ignorant is the comment "real" camera? What does that suppose to mean? You think T3 is "real" because it's big? It'a pain in the butt carying big cameras around. It's not the size, it's how you use it. F3 is much smaller with the same or better image quality.

Micah, check out samples in the middle of this review:

And some full size at the bottom, and you will quickly realise how good can the F3 be. Iphone is nowhere near that level.

My two cents is, if you want a camera, buy a camera! You already have a good phone. My suggestion is to stay away from the point and shoot fixed lens cameras, they all suffer from "sutter lag" which means that it can take up to 2 sec. for the camera to take a picture after you push the shutter release button. I have been shooting with Sony DSLR's since they first came out with no regrets. The Sony NEX line and any of the other "EVIL" cameras are good, the smaller size makes them easy to carry. Pick the one that feels the best in your hand, ballance, position of controls, ease of operation, and available accessories.

Hope this helped.

Well Apple in my opinion has never failed on putting out a great product. From my research and testing experience the iPhone 5 is going to have just what your looking for in terms of social networking, media, and Camera quality. As a bonus it has a wider screen allowing you to easily focus on specific objects or people. I've sampled it and i can't say it's not very well made and bluntly badass. You'll be happy with an iPhone 5. Sony is a great producer when it comes to media although their strong point is Music and Televisions. iPhone i trust,it should give you what your looking for. I hope i helped.

Cell phone cameras are junk, pure and simple. The nex models are all EVIL cameras, Electronic Viewfinding Interchangeable Lens. Which means they're nothing more than a fancy, over glorified,

way over priced pocket toy that just happens to change lenses.

If you want a real camera (emphasis on "real") look at a Canon t3 dslr camera.

I never carry a mobile and wouldn't touch a NEX.

Get yourself a decent camera, avoiding GE (Kodak as well) this time.
