I've had the Nikon Coolpix S4000 for about a year now and I've recently started using 2 different memory cards, basically cause one has more memory!
The memory card usually has no problems and i use them a lot, but now its saying "this card cannot be used" I've tried formatting the card but it didn't work and the card's not locked either. The camera still works without a memory card, but obviously i have limited memory :/
can anyone help? please!

If you've tried multiple cards, it's likely the switch inside the camera's card slot. See the toothpick trick in the following to try to open this switch:

I lost everything again in the flood, don't take pitty or sympathy. Any kit's camera can get you a memory card or you can order it directly from the NIKON site.

Try a brand new memory card. If that doesn't work, have your camera checked.

Yes, the card is bad and should be trashed and replaced.
