I have a couple of MD lenses and want to know if they can fit another type of manual camera. Thanks!

Chinese manufacturer seagul made a couple of models using the md mount, these were clones of the x-300 model and sold under different names such as centon or pheonix, I think some were badged as vivitar.
Be careful though as Seagul also made similar cameras in a pentax k mount.
The best bet is to use a minolta branded body. Any SR series, or X series minolta will accept sr mc or md mount lenses.
To my mind the x-500 (x570) is the best x series camera in practical use (better than the x700) but i still have an SR-T101b & SR-T303a which are just beautiful to operate.

Unfortunatley Minolta changed their lens mount when they went from manual to autofocus and as such the manual focus lenses do not fit the minolta AF cameras (such as the Maxxum line). The Minolta AF lenses fit the Sony Alpha cameras (Sony bought Konika Minolta). If however you have a really nice Minolta MD lens that you really want to use, there are adapters however (http://www.goshotcamera.com/product/LAD003MDMAMINOLTA/MINOLTA_MD_MC_to_MAXXUM_AF_lens_adapter_for_Sony_A100_Minolta_7D_5D_KM.html) that will allow you to use the lens but remember no AF, no automatic f-stop setting etc....

Yes, any Maxxum series lens willl work just fine on the Alpha bodies. There are some issues with the older minolta flashes though.

Nope
Minolta fits Minolta, Canon fits Canon, Nikon fits Nikon. There are some adapters around but they have limited functionality.
