I have a Casio Exilim 6.0 and it is very user friendly, has an easy-to-use menu and a large viewer. The only downside is no viewfinder which would be helpful for viewing your subject on sunny days.

The picture qualitiy is very good compared to digital pictures I have viewed from other manufacturers that cost more.

I don't know to tell you the truth, I never heard of Casio for a camera until now. I heard of Casio for Watches, and Cash Register, but not a digital camera.

Buy a brand name camera that has background in photography, like Canon, Fuji, Nikon or Kodak. I would NOT recommend Panasonic, Casio, Samsung and Sony because they are not in the business of making photographic equipment, someone else makes the product for them and they just put their own label on it. They may have a nice sleek design but in addition to the design of the camera, your camera needs to be able to take high quality photos and camera needs to last a long time. The concept is that, buy a camera from the makers who understand photography and been doing it for the past several decades.

I am HIGHLY recommending you to buy Canon. These days they are the most popular and extremely reliable. Canon SD1000 sells about $220 and its an excellent camera. It has 7.1mega pixels and trust me thats more than you need. You can easily put it in your purse or shirt pocket. Its very solid and you can even record short movies, depending on the size of your memory card. I highly recommended this camera.

Check out www.newegg.com for prices and such.
