The tripod mount has been standard for years, well, two types, the "bolt" mount that has been common across film SLR, compact, digital etc.
The only other common mount was the "shoe" style for larger video cameras.
I would expect ANY camera (35mm film/digital) tripod to fit ANY current digital or 35mm camera.
Seems daft to say it's a tripod for a single camera.
- except, for a heavier/larger camera, especially an SLR which may have a more front-heavy lens used with it, then you need a tripod with a bit more substance to it than one that might only be recommended for compacts.
Cheaper tripods won't have a quick release... cheapest I've seen that do is something like the Hama Traveller compact - if it doesn't SAY quick release in the spec, then it probably doesn't have a quick release (where the plate is attached to the camera, and more to the point, an extra plate is attached to a second camera, so you can simply unlatch one from the tripod and latch the other one onto it.
