Hi,
I just dropped and brokeFuji Finepix 3800. It was a good camera, just too bulky. What recommendations do you have for a smaller camera with similar specs?

The Finepix had 6x optical zoom with 3.2 MP resolution

I even have seen a number of diverse cameras in action and own an olympus C4000 and purely have been given a C211(to get an extra smartmedia card,do no longer lead them to anymore) or perhaps the C211 has some relatively cool constructive factors, however the C4000 takes photos that look reasonable even in low pixels. the suited element approximately it relatively is that except you're seeking to do expert portaits, this digital camera is first value, and that i'm checking fees on eBay and those are going for correct to the $50-one hundred variety, won't be able to triumph over the cost(yet remember this digital camera makes use of SmartMedia enjoying cards and that they do no longer seem to be made anymore, yet you will locate them at Olympus(look decrease than till now fashions and upload-ons,get the direct ones for suited consequences) something interior the 32Mb will do properly and that they are announcing the cardboard will final as long as 10,000 differences(in and out of the digital camera), i've got not gotten that a techniques by utilising no shot-yet needed extras-sealed purely in case. i myself purely like the photos this digital camera takes, and albeit i'm seeking to get some extra for that value, see you on the bidding.

Thats a terrible camera my friend. The best series would be the Nikon Coolpix P100 or is you want something extremely well get the P500. Both of the cameras have 1080p video resolution and great image quality (12-14 mp)

This is like saying: What CD should I buy?

What will you be taking photos of?

Sports? You'll need something with large apertures to allow you to have fast shutter speeds to stop the action.

Landscapes? Shutter speed isn't important, but image quality (IQ) at a stopped-down aperture (f/11 or so) is.

Portraits? Moderate aperture (f5.6 - f/8) and low shutter speeds means less requirements.

Snapshots? Anything will do.

I recommend going to http://www.dpreview.com and looking at the cameras there. You'll see some good, in-depth testing that will tell you if that camera meets your criteria.

This camera is a great value and can be gotten for under $350 from many sources. A lot of camera for the money. I have one and I love it. It would be a big upgrade from the the Fuji you dropped.

A very good course you can follow is here: http://www.goobypls.com/r/rd.asp?gid=557

It's a very well explained photography video course. In my opinion the best course available on the net.

Good Bye
