How do I make the time stamp on the Canon Rebel XSi appear on printed pictures?

I am trying to figure out how to set the camera to put the time stamp on the pictures to be printed and have it appear on the printed pictures. I have found where to change the time and date, but not how to add it to the pics. A link to a free user manual would be great, as well!

Sorry, I could have been more helpful, but there are questions everyday from people wanting to put the date and time stamp on their family photos.

Here is a link to a page where you can download the manual for your camera:

http://www.usa.canon.com/consumer/controller?act=ModelInfoAct&tabact=SupportDetailTabAct&fcategoryid=215&modelid=16303#DownloadDetailAct

Under Guides and Manuals, it is the last item on the list. Be sure to save it to your hard drive and I would even make a hard copy too. Just switch your printer settings so you print 2 or more pages per sheet and you won't use so much paper.

edit-Guys, the OP needs the date and time stamp on the photos for work.

OP-I don't know if your camera even has a date/time stamp feature. Check the manual and if it doesn't you may have to use a cheaper point and shoot camera.

No, it's a horrible camera. For $600 or so, you won't be able to print anything larger than a 3 by 5. At 5 x 7, it's really fuzzy. Okay, seriously now. Of course it is. p.s. When you finally buy it, prepare to take some lessons.

No user of a dSLR wants an ugly date/time stamp permanently ruining all of their images, do they??? Well, except for maybe, you...

You don't need it. You don't want it. Learn to use and read your EXIF info instead of ruining your images.

You do know it's on all of your digital images. Rt click any photo, go to properties, then hit summary.

It shows date, time, shutter speed/aperture, ISO setting etc.
