Ok, so I have this (really nice) Olympus camera which has an xD card in it, but I don't have the usb cord for this camera. I have another camera - a fujifilm one - which also takes the xD card and which I do have the usb for. But whenever I take photos on the Olympus camera and put the xD card into the other camera, the photos taken with the Olympus don't show up at all in the playback bit.
Does anyone know how to somehow change the settings on the Olympus so they do? I changed the formatting from RAW to HQ but its still not working.
Thanks!

There is one quick and very simple solution to this very common problem.

Use a Card Reader - Just Connect the Card Reader to the Computer. Remove the Memory Card from the Camera. Insert the Memory Card into the Card Reader and Start the Downloading process. It's that simple. Also the Card Readers can be found at many Electronic Stores and doesn't cost that much.

You would think that would work, but alas it doesn't. Buy a usb multi card reader, under 10.00 or fins another usb for your Olympus. Try www.dcables.net Buy a couple if you are prone to losing things.

What you are trying to do won't work, there is NO way to make it work! Why aren't you using a card reader like 99% of the other camera users in the world?

for sure not a storge room venture . perhaps you may attempt and use the digital camera application . I had to try this to benefit get entry to to my digital camera as MS scanner and digital camera wizard does not . extensively utilized ac/dsee to do it this time . you would be able to offer that a attempt .

The best way to transfer pictures from the camera to the computer is not to involve the camera in the process.

You can't. I agree with one answer, get an external usb card reader.
