A bit of trawling and the DSC-H10's that I found were mostly cheaper than the DSC-H20's. The DSC-H10 is a discontinued model, and the DSC-H20 is superior, you should check out the DSC-HX1 too. Oh and if you can, find a store where these cameras are on sale and hold one before you buy. They are decent quality, but the materials used are not the most durable (I'm a Sony fan but I'd be worried about the durability of these models - they're too lightweight).

I'd question why neither of these cameras has a viewfinder, for stability pressing camera on cheek for distant shots. H-10 no shutter/aperture priority. My 3 yr old Sony has all this (H2).

If I were buying a super zoom today, I'd be considering the Canon SX10 IS.
