list some good point-and-shoot digital cameras. none that need to change lens.
looking for ones under $250. i only print 4x6s so very high megapixels is not needed. really looking for a camera that takes high quality, crisp, clear pictures. i have other digital cameras but not pleased with the quality. and what features should i look for additional clarity? like image stabilization, low light, motion detection, etc.
i hear canon is best usually, then sony or nikon.

The best cameras in the under $250 market are:

- Canon SX130IS or SX150IS

- Nikon P300 (which you can sometimes find for $250)

- Nikon P7000 (which Amazon has for $279 - but I add it as it is normally $500)

While the performance of these cameras will not match DSLRs, they will be as good or better than any of the other compact cameras. Of the cameras on my list, the P7000 is far and above the others. The P7000 is on sale since it has been replaced by the P7100, it is an incredible deal - and with the P7100, is arguably the best compact camera you can buy.

The P7000 is not an old model by any means - it has only been out for a year.

Here is a quick review of the P7000: http://www.althephoto.com/cameras/p7000.php

For clarity you will want the largest processing chip you can get. Megapixels has nothing to do with the clarity so to speak. Anything above 6 megapixels is not necessary for a clear picture. Tripod and a remote shutter release and a sharp focus are number 1 above anything else for a great picture.

To tell you the truth,I don't think that you will be able to get what it is your looking for at $250.00.

You could look on a site that sells reconditioned cameras for a good price, usually about half the cost of new.

once you're gonna purchase a DSLR, purchase a bag additionally, and shop it on you in any respect circumstances in case you're out, they're cumbersome and costly, so it would be a shame if it have been to wander away, stolen, or broken. you could attempt the Olympus Pen series, they're extra compact then primary DSLRs. however the priority with them is, they have not got a viewfinder, and that they have got smaller sensors, in case you prefer an entire on DSLR, i might get the Pentax ok-x, it relatively is way low-cost, and has an outstanding variety of useful aspects, like HD movie.

And the word please is as alien to you as the concept of a capital to start a sentence?

Canon's a-series.
