It looks like you can download and install IrfanView:
The format plugins need to be unzipped. The zip aparently contains many programs, among them DLLs from Canon that will let you read the CRW files. IrfanView is a very easy-to-use utility in general.

A uncooked report comes out as linear mild area. in case you have been to verify the linear area image, it might look terrible! to mimic what your eyes % out, the linearity of the mild amplitude is skewed in the uncooked image. additionally, the colour area is what the sensor sees which isn't what you % out. classes which convert uncooked information data to a format the place your perception of the image seems accepted would desire to bend the mild area and alter the colour area to a staggering image. The algorithms used to try this variety between the application that's why you're seeing the diversities. i might say that Canon's application could provide the outcomes closest to the jpeg thumbnail embedded in the uncooked image in view that Canon knows of what set of rules the digital camera makes use of. Your report length differences are probably via header information and the pixel dimensions in RT are via how they preserve the sides of the image. in case you like a powerful uncooked editor, use Adobe digital camera uncooked (ACR). that's an excellent software. ACR comes with Photoshop (costly) and Photoshop components (under $one hundred). in case you want to work out what the image extremely sounds like out of your digital camera sensor, use a command line software stated as dcraw. Use the -4 determination. Purists doing HDR processing will use linear mild area then alter the excellent result so curiously accepted to the viewer.

Vu Print
Paint shop Pro also supports it as does Adobe Photoshop CS
You might see if you can save in CR2 format, then any TIFF compliant viewer will work.
