so i bought an 8gb meory card, but my camera just says it needs to format the chip, i click ok then it just says it needs to be formated agian is it bc it cant be a SDHC.

The DX7590 camera only uses a regular SD memory card. As far as I know it will only hold up to 2GB SD memory card only.

It doesn't have to be kodak. I like transcend, kingston and sandisk. Check your manual to make sure you can use sdhc (secure digital high capacity) (bigger than 2G). Some of the cheaper cameras can only use sd (secure digital) cards. The manual will tell you the size. If you can use sdhc cards then get a couple of 4G or an 8G. This camera most likely can not record for 10-15 minutes at a time. You will probably have to shoot shorter clips and edit them together.
