I bought a Panasonic DMC-FX8. It has 5 AF modes (5 point for vertical shots, 3 point, 1 point and spot). To keep changing to the proper mode is a pain.. Which one is the best "default"?

For general photography I would use the 1 point AF. That way it would behave just like a normal point and shoot camera does. Under very unique situations taht might not be the best alternative, but generally just one point in the middle is all you need.
